We need substitute teachers who are available on short notice (the night before an absence or the morning of an absence). 

 

For the 2023-24 school year, substitute teachers in Jefferson County who hold an active Tennessee Teaching License will be paid $130 for a full day or $65 for a half day. All other substitute teachers are paid $105 for a full day or $52.50 for a half day with the following exceptions: 

• Non-licensed substitute for full-time prek assistant full day (6.5 hours) - $91.00
• Licensed substitute for full-time prek assistant full day (6.5 hours) - $112.65
• Non-licensed substitute for special education assistant (7 hours) - $98.00
• Licensed substitute for special education assistant (7 hours) - $121.31
• Non-licensed substitute for part-time prek assistant (4 hours) - $56.00
• Licensed substitute for part-time prek assistant (4 hours) = $69.32
