210-day contract (plus $2,448 supplement) for a full school year. The salary and supplement will be pro-rated based on hire date this school year.

Instructional Coach / Math and Literacy
Qualifications
- Proven instructional expertise in literacy and math
- Experience in professional development leadership
- Active Tennessee teaching license (elementary endorsement)
- Elementary teaching experience preferred
- Ability to work additional ten day contract outside of teacher contract (pro-rated if hired mid-year)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work at the elementary building level at one or more school sites under the supervision of the literacy and math curriculum specialists and building administrators.
- Provide support to classroom teachers through professional development such as modeling lessons, co-teaching, and team teaching.
- Assist teachers in selection of appropriate materials and resources.
- Develop classroom intervention strategies to assist teachers in differentiating core instruction for struggling students.
- Facilitate professional growth of classroom teachers through activities such as observation, conferencing, and constructive feedback.
- Assist in developing intervention plans for identified students within the RTI2
- Provide math and literacy interventions as necessary for identified students.
- Implement progress monitoring and other assessments of students.
- Attend RTI2 meetings as necessary.
- Serve as a resource person and sounding board for faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Assist new teachers with the organization and management of their literacy and math programs.
- Conference with teachers and/or parents to discuss concerns and experiences.
- Develop a relationship of professional rapport with faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Conduct professional development or facilitate professional learning communities with teachers, parents, and the community to reinforce the literacy and math curriculum used in the Jefferson County Schools.
- Other duties as assigned by the building administrator, elementary supervisor, or the Director of Schools.
