Description	Must be willing to consider substituting at multiple schools when needed. Substitutes in Jefferson County who hold an active Tennessee Teaching License are paid $90 for a full day or $45 for a half day. All other substitutes are paid $75 for a full day or $37.50 for a half day with the following exceptions: Non-licensed substitute for full-time prek assistant full day (6.5 hours) - $65.00 Licensed substitute for full-time prek assistant full day (6.5 hours) - $78.00 Non-licensed substitute for special education assistant (7 hours) - $70.00 Licensed substitute for special education assistant (7 hours) - $84.00 Non-licensed substitute for part-time prek assistant (4 hours) - $40.00 Licensed substitute for part-time prek assistant (4 hours) = $48.00 All applicants for substitute teacher positions will be contacted by phone or email to schedule a screening interview. Current substitute teachers in Jefferson County Schools DO NOT need to apply again.
