Caregiver for School Age Childcare (SACC) Program
Job Description
Employees in this classification will provide supervision of and instruction to students enrolled in the SACC program. Be responsible for the care, safety and well being of students. Ensure that all rules and procedures are followed. Plan activities designed to promote cooperative play, physical activity, creative thinking and self expression. Caregivers must be capable of maintaining a high level of energy on the job. Be effective in interacting with school age children, other staff members and parents. Caregivers will be required to attend all staff meetings and training sessions. In addition, duties will include assisting the site director in maintaining a clean and healthy environment, preparing and serving snacks, attending to children's needs in the event of illness or injury.
Classification: Non-exempt, part-time Hours: up to 3.5 hours (after school) on school days; up to 6 hours per day on nonschool days; Hourly rate: $10.10 per hour
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
